Latter Day Saints

My first experience in an LDS church and I have to say it went well. I have never been in a service quite like this one. At 9 a.m. on Sunday mornings they meet in the chapel to have the Sacrament, which is bread and water rather than juice or wine. This is blessed and served by those in the priesthood. What comes next is a time of testimony where various people come up front to share something from earlier that week. They don't have a sermon or praise and worship time, but rather split up into various classes following the time of testimonies.

The congregation consisted of Caucasian men, women, and families with only two people who were African American. The ages of those in attendance was mixed and diverse; you had people of every age. I noticed that there were lots of kids and this didn't surprise me, since I know that families are encouraged to bear lots of children. Everyone was dressed in your typical Sunday attire, you didn't see anyone dressed casually as is the movement in some churches.
